Graham Matthews

Background and expertise

Before joining New Zealand Trade and Enterprise's Investment team, Graham was a senior equity partner at international consulting firm, EC Harris LLP, based in London. He had responsibility for the firm's Public Sector division, working worldwide with public sector clients. He also led the firm's 2012 London Olympics programme, which included advising the British government on the Olympics development and construction programme.

Prior to EC Harris Graham was Global Head of Workplace Solutions at Accenture, where he had responsibility for capital asset strategy and consulting.

Graham was a Director of BAA plc where he had a number of roles including Divisional Finance Director, Development Director for Heathrow Express - at the time the new railway link to central London was being constructed - and Group Project Services Director, which focused on improving the delivery performance of BAA's $1.25bn pa capital programme.

During the 1980s he was a Director of Lynton plc, a property development company, where he had responsibility for delivering the firm's commercial and retail property developments across the UK.

Graham has extensive experience in corporate leadership, corporate strategy, investment and development, project implementation, PPP and PFI, facilities management, supply chain management and logistics.
