Koustubh Gadgil

Background and expertise

Koustubh has been part of our manufacturing and wood processing team since 2002. This team developed and implemented the European value-added strategy for the New Zealand wood processing sector. He has also been responsible for managing and advising other significant investment projects involving New Zealand and overseas companies.

Koustubh comes from an investment banking background. He began with Lazard Creditcapital Limited, a subsidiary of Lazard & Co Ltd UK, and later worked for boutique Indian investment banks where he was involved in corporate advisory work, capital structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and equity and debt raising.

Transactions Koustubh handled included cross-border joint ventures, advisory work on foreign direct investment, cross-border lending, capital structuring, and advice for infrastructure projects.

Koustubh joined our Investment team in September 2001.
