The geothermal sector in New Zealand has a pipeline of
projects that would suit international infrastructure investors
with experience in renewable energy projects.
Geothermal energy, which is considered a renewable energy
source, produces about 10 percent of New Zealand's electricity
supply and has recently seen a resurgence in New Zealand.
Most of the country's installed geothermal generating capacity
is situated in the Taupo Volcanic Zone, with a small quantity in
Northland.
